My redesigned Amazon Basics packaging became bestsellers, with flea & tick cat SKU at 10K+ sales/month, flea & tick medium and large weight dog SKUs at 6K+ sales/month, other dog weights averaging 3K+ sales/month.

Challenge:

Previously branded as Solimo, the packaging was originally cluttered, typography was bland and packaging overall did not stand out. My role was to maintain the Solimo buyer, while ensuring the new packaging met updated Amazon brand standards.

Here’s how I autopsied the previous packaging:

Approach:

Strengthen shelf visibility
Optimize for conversion
Create scalable packaging architecture

As lead designer, I focused on optimizing the package for conversion by leveraging vibrant flood-coat colors, intentional object scaling, clear visual hierarchy, easy-to-read typography, and engaging imagery that helped shoppers quickly identify the product and its benefits, which ultimately resulted in faster buy decisions and improved sales.
